Security Operatives Perform Security Check on Atiku

Upon arrival from Dubai, , Presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, was subjected to a security search by Department State Security agents.

The former vice president had arrived at in a private jet around 1:30a.m on Sunday, November 11 after his holiday in Dubai.

Atiku expressed his disapproval over the search via his Twitter handle, disclosing that he cannot be intimidated by it.

“I arrived Abuja this (yesterday) morning to a search by agents of the state, aimed at intimidating me and my staff.   I am committed to building a Nigeria where no citizen is intimidated by agents of state who are paid to protect them,’’ he wrote.

Vanguard reports that sources said the operatives searched Atiku and the jet, alongside officers of the Nigerian Immigration Service and Nigeria Customs Service. The combined security team, it was learned, said they had an arrest warrant to search the presidential candidate.

They were said to have stripped everything, including the luggage, and had also searched the pilot and co-pilot and had cameras and video tapes to record the search.
Confirming the incident, Comrade , former national piblicity secretary of the said the plot to embarrass Atiku on arrival from Dubai was a failure, Legit.ng reports.

“I have been saying it that the PDP presidential candidate is not safe under this administration because the Buhari’s administration is deploying all manners of devilish strategies to nail all the opposition leaders especially, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.

“We are using this medium to inform the international community to also take note of how Buhari administration is intimidating the opposition presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, who has served Nigeria as vice president for eight years,” Comrade Frank said.
