Buhari Begins Campaign in Abuja as INEC Declares Campaign Open
Following the Independent National Electoral Commission’s (INEC) declaring the presidential and National Assembly (NASS) campaign for 2019 elections officially open, President Muhammadu Buhari has began campaigns in Abuja.
The president who is seeking re-election launched a “campaign manual/next level document” at the State House conference centre on Sunday, November 18.
The occasion was slated for 5 pm at the Banquet Hall which is said to be already full to capacity with supporters of the governing All Progressives Congress (APC), top party officials and government delegates.
At the grand event, the minister of works, power and housing, Babatunde Fashola, was to speak on What we are building 1 after which Rotimi Amaechi, the minister of transportation and director general of the Buhari campaign organisation, speak on What we are building 2.
Also, Zainab Ahmed, the minister of finance, will be speaking on the topic, Doing more with less”, Minister of Agriculture, Audu Ogbe was to speak on “a bountiful land” while the president’s aide on social investments, Maryam Uwais, was also to deliver a speech.
There will also be four mini documentaries on infrastructure development, investing in people, corruption and security and the rice revolution.
