APC’s Putting Finishing Touches to Restructuring Report- BSO Assures Ndigbo
The Buhari Support Organisation, BSO, South East Zone has said that the All Progressive Congress is putting finishing touches on the restructuring report made by Malam Nasir El Ruffai’s committee.
In the statement, the group assured Nigerians that President Muhammadu Buhari and the APC are not against restructuring.
“APC is putting finishing touches to the Malam Nasir El-Rufai Committee’s report on restructuring.
“What we disagree with is the undefined agreement of Ohaneze Ndigbo leadership with former Vice President Atiku Abubakar’s vague promise on restructuring within six months in office,” the statement read.
The statement further advised the Ndigbo group not to go along with the promise of Atiku Abubakar to restructure, describing it as boarding a ‘One Chance Bus’, as a result of a hunger to restructure the current over centralised centre.
“For restructuring cannot be done with Fiat-Executive-Order, without the amendment of relevant sections of the 1999 Constitution, which falls into the rigid cadre,” it said.
The statement also stated categorically that the 2023 is the turn of the South East Geopolitical Zone to produce President.
This statement is in highlight to presidential aspirant, Atiku Abubakar’s comment on restructuring Nigeria: “It is doable. In fact, what I’ve told many Nigerians at home is that if you give me six months, I know I will be able to achieve a fast level of restructuring.”
