FG Declares Christmas, Boxing Day and New Year as Public Holidays
The Federal Government through its Minister of Interior, Abdulrahman Bello Dambazau, has declared December 25 and 26 as well as January 1 as public holidays.
As in a statement signed by the ministry’s director of press, Mohammed Manga, the minister declared the three days, Christmas day, Boxing day and New Year as holidays on Wednesday, December 19,
He also used the opportunity to call on Christians in the country to utilize the season in praying for the growth and development of the nation.
He added that Nigerians in this season resolve to maintain peace and unity in the country before, even during and after the general elections.
Dambazau further urged all Nigerians, both at home and abroad, to support the present administration of President Muhammadu Buhari in its determination and sustained efforts towards a peaceful, united and virile nation.
