Air Task Force Destroys Boko Haram Camp

The (ATF) of , has on on Wednesday, November 14, destroyed a Boko Haram terrorist camp.

The development which was in continuation of Operation Green Sweep was at Buk along the Ajigin-Talala-Buk axis near Alagarno forest.

Legit.ng reports that the operation was conducted after Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) missions led to the discovery of a new camp with structures hidden under the thick vegetation, including a suspected Boko Haram tactical command and control centre.

Further reports from Legit quotes a statement by NAF director of public relations and information, Air Commodore .

It stated: “Accordingly, an Alpha Jet aircraft and two Mi-35 attack helicopters were detailed to attack the camp, inflicting significant damage to the command and control centre.

“The NAF, working in concert with surface forces, will sustain the tempo of operations with a view to destroying all remnants of the terrorists in Borno state,”
